Grab-n-SNAP Sheet Straps

So, I thought I would write a review on this product I found a few weeks ago.

I was driving myself crazy trying to find some sheet straps that would actually work. I tried the little corner straps that have the garter type clips, several different brands. I also tried a brand call Sheet Suspenders. None of them worked near as well as I would like. The corner straps were useless and the Sheet Suspenders, while they worked a tiny bit better, tended to shoot so far up under the mattress when I would change my sheets that I almost couldn’t get them out.

I finally found Grab-n-SNAP Sheet Straps. These are fantastic! I honestly cannot say anything bad about them.

They say you need to remove the mattress to place the strap in position the first time but I was able to get it on a queen size bed without removing the mattress. You just have to kind of  “walk it” after you attach one corner.

I ordered the deluxe version which has two clips at each corner and 2 more on each side which attach midway down the long sides of the mattress.

Each clip contains a plastic insert which is there to protect the sheets from damage.

Another feature that I REALLY love is the retrieval cords. This is ingenious in my opinion. There is a thin cord with pull rings attached at each corner and on the sides. If the elastic shoots up under the mattress as mentioned earlier, you just use the cord to pull it back within reach. No muss, no fuss!

Changing the sheets is such a simple task with this product. I will definitely be ordering more for the other beds in our home.

Overall, I would give this product 5 out of 5 stars!

My Very First Post

Well, here it goes!  As I settle in to figure out how everything works, please bear with me.

I really have no idea what I’m doing so, as I wander aimlessly around looking at other blogs, please forgive me if I break some kind of  “blogger etiquette” if there is such a thing.

I’ll just be kind of wandering around, finding blogs I like while I decide what I want to talk about.

Oh! I almost forgot: happy Easter!!

Pork chops and rice

This is a budget friendly, easy to prepare dish  which can be served as the main course with a couple of side dishes or as a meal in and of itself. It is wonderful in that is flexible as to how many it serves.

Prep time = 20 minutes

Baking time = 1 hour

Recommended side dishes = Green bean casserole and golden sweet corn

Ingredients:

3 – 6 small to medium sized  pork chops (We prefer center cut loin chops but you can use whatever your budget and taste buds dictate.)

1(one) 5.5 ounce package Knorr Rice Sides – Mushroom Flavor

1(one) 26 ounce can Campbell’s Chicken with Rice Soup

3 cups instant white rice (you can reduce the amount of rice if this is too much for your family. Just remember to reduce the amount of water accordingly)

4 cups water

Extra virgin olive oil (optional)

Lawry’s Seasoned Salt (optional)

Black pepper (optional)

Brown pork chops in skillet and season to taste (I coat the bottom of my skillet with extra virgin olive oil and season with Lawrey’s Seasoned Salt and black pepper)

While pork chops are browning, combine Knorr rice with instant white rice. (You want to blend the two together so the Knorr’s flavor is distributed well.)

Cover the bottom of your baking pan with the rice mixture (I use an 11″ x 7″ pan)

Add water to the rice

Arrange pork chops on top of the rice in your baking pan.

Spread Campbell’s Chicken with Rice soup over the pork chops and rice.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes, uncover and bake an additional 10 minutes.
